Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme, France was born the 9th August, 1976. Audrey is the elder child in a family of four. Audrey Tautou's parents who were a dentist and a school teacher helped and encouraged her initial passion for drama and theatre. Her initial dream of becoming a specialist in monkeys was eclipsed by her wish to learn about drama and theater. Her fame grew as a child actor quickly and achieved huge achievement. Following her studies in 1998 she took part in the French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to launching her acting career in earnest. Tautou studied at Institut Catholique de Paris, attended church as a young girl and was brought up Catholic. She has now distanced herself with her Catholic upbringing. She pursued a career in modeling alongside her acting career and is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Additionally, she is a keen passion for photography. She recently exhibited her work for the Arles Festival with the name Superficial. The work she produces is focused on fame as well as fame. It also features portraits of herself and special focus on journalists who have closely scrutinized Tautou following her rapid rise in stardom following Amelie. Audrey Tautou's international recognition and popularity exploded after her appearance in the film as Amelie Poulain's main lady in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie has been an international box office success and has been lauded at numerous award festivals around the globe. It is currently the top grossing French film in the US. Following this success Tautou starred in many film productions ranging that ranged from British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday of fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood under the direction of Ron Howard of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
